Travel PCU Registered Nurse Job in Columbus, Ohio – Hematology-Oncology Acute Care
Travel PCU RN job in Columbus, Ohio for an experienced Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse seeking a fast-paced hematology-oncology acute care assignment. Join a collaborative care team supporting adult and geriatric patients in a high-acuity setting with strong telemetry, bedside care, and Epic charting experience.

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 – $2,040
- Start Date: September 21, 2026
- Duration: 16 weeks
- Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
- Schedule: Days and nights, with rotating assignments based on unit needs
- Orientation: 72 hours
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
- Charting System: Epic
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of total acute care nursing experience
- At least 1 year of recent PCU nursing experience required
- Current travel nursing experience required
- BLS and ACLS required
- NIHSS preferred
- Strong telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
- Experience with blood product administration, IV therapy, central line care, and PICC line management
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care environment with strict infection prevention and fall prevention practices
- Epic charting experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality progressive care nursing to patients with acute leukemia and hematology-related needs
- Monitor telemetry and respond appropriately to rhythm changes and patient condition updates
- Administer blood products, IV antibiotics, electrolytes, and other ordered therapies
- Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy support, and central line and PICC line care as needed
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, including rapid response, respiratory, pharmacy, and other support services
- Maintain strong infection prevention standards and help reduce patient fall risks
- Document care accurately in Epic and communicate effectively with the care team
- Float to other MedSurg oncology units as needed
