Travel RN Job Details

• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Shift Options: Days, 7:00 a.m.-7:30 p.m.; nights, 7:00 p.m.-7:30 a.m.
• Healthcare Setting: On-site acute-care hospital environment
• Scheduling: Day/night rotation may be required based on operational needs
• Holiday Coverage: At least every other holiday during the contract

Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Permanent Ohio RN license or compact-state license in hand at the time of submission
• At least 1 year of recent permanent experience in medical-surgical telemetry nursing
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Required nursing licenses and certifications must be active and available at the time of submission
• Recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty
• Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment screening and travel nurse onboarding requirements
• Ability to complete ECG rhythm recognition and medication-safety assessments during orientation

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with clinical standards
• Perform focused and comprehensive nursing assessments, develop individualized care plans, and document patient progress
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and support safe transitions of care
• Float to comparable patient-care units when needed to support operational requirements
• Participate in orientation, competency validation, and required educational modules
