Travel Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (IR RN) – Procedural Care in Chico, CA
Join an on-site procedural care team as a Travel Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse supporting patients before and after interventional radiology procedures. This full-time travel nursing assignment offers a 13-week contract in Chico, California, a welcoming Northern California community known for its beautiful parks, outdoor recreation, and relaxed lifestyle.
Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,800-$2,940
- Assignment Type: Full-time travel nursing contract
- Location: Chico, California
- Duration: 13 weeks, from October 8, 2026, through January 7, 2027
- Schedule: 40 hours per week
- Shift: 10-hour shifts with an early morning start between 6:00 and 8:00 a.m.; variable days off
- Healthcare Setting: Procedural care unit supporting pre- and post-interventional radiology recovery
- Work Environment: On-site
Interventional Radiology RN Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with the California Board of Registered Nursing
- At least 1 year of professional nursing experience
- Current CPR certification or recognized equivalent
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Experience with pre- and post-procedural patient recovery
- Experience using the EPIC electronic medical record system
- Interventional radiology nursing experience preferred
- Previous successful travel nursing experience preferred
Interventional Radiology Nursing Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients before and after interventional radiology procedures
- Complete patient assessments, monitor clinical status, and identify changes requiring intervention
- Prepare patients for procedures and support safe recovery following procedural care
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with orders, policies, and professional standards
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in EPIC
- Collaborate with procedural providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote safe, high-quality patient outcomes
- Provide patient and family education related to procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions
