Medical Assistant Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,350-$1,460
- Assignment Type: 13-week travel healthcare assignment
- Start Date: October 30, 2026
- End Date: January 28, 2027
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
- Shift: 8-hour day shifts
- Call and Weekends: No call and no weekend shifts
- Healthcare Setting: Outpatient women’s health and OB/GYN clinic
- Location: Farmington, Connecticut, near Hartford
Medical Assistant Job Requirements
- Medical Assistant certification or certification verification; RMA or CMA credentials accepted
- At least 1 year of OB/GYN or women’s health clinic experience preferred
- Previous travel Medical Assistant or travel assignment experience preferred
- Epic electronic health record experience required
- Current BLS certification
- COVID-19 vaccination or an approved medical or religious exemption
- Ability to provide attentive, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced outpatient healthcare environment
Medical Assistant Responsibilities
- Support OB/GYN providers and clinical staff in delivering outpatient women’s health care
- Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document accurate clinical information
- Assist with patient intake, examinations, procedures, and follow-up care
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the Epic electronic health record
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure supplies and medical equipment are available
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients, providers, and the healthcare team
- Follow applicable clinical, safety, and infection-control procedures
