Travel Echo Tech Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,330-$2,500
• Location: Medford, Wisconsin
• Assignment Type: Travel contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 16, 2026
• Schedule: 8-hour daytime shifts, typically 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Weekend Schedule: Generally no weekends; holidays may be required as needed
• Patient Volume: Approximately 6-8 echocardiograms per day, primarily outpatient with some inpatient volume
• Call: No regular call required; low-census call may be assigned according to operational needs

Echo Technologist Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Echo Tech, echocardiography, or cardiovascular ultrasound experience
• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in an allied health field preferred
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• One of the following credentials: CCI RDCS or RCS, or ARDMS RVT or RVS
• Recent experience performing routine general ultrasound and vascular studies
• Proficiency with arterial studies, venous duplex examinations, and carotid imaging
• Ability to interpret ECGs, including identification and differentiation of arrhythmias
• Knowledge of routine cardiovascular pharmacological agents
• Epic charting experience is highly preferred
• Adaptable, resilient, dependable, and comfortable managing change

Echo Tech Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic echocardiography and vascular ultrasound examinations for outpatient and inpatient populations
• Complete arterial, venous duplex, carotid, and other routine vascular studies with accurate imaging and documentation
• Recognize and appropriately communicate significant findings and ECG abnormalities
• Apply knowledge of cardiovascular medications and clinical conditions when obtaining and evaluating diagnostic information
• Document examinations and results accurately in the electronic medical record
• Deliver compassionate, professional patient care while working independently as the primary Echo Technologist on site
• Support patient care needs at other regional locations when assignment requirements call for additional coverage
• Follow department, safety, infection-control, and vaccination or masking requirements
