Travel Respiratory Therapist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,630-$1,750
• Location: Cleveland, Ohio
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital Emergency Department
• Assignment Type: Travel contract
• Start Date: December 14, 2026
• End Date: May 31, 2027
• Contract Duration: Approximately 24 weeks
• Schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts per week, generally 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Coverage: Weekends as needed
• Float: May be asked to support nearby affiliated facilities or related hospital departments as needed

Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Active Ohio Registered Respiratory Therapist license in hand before starting
• Active National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credential in hand at the time of submission
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification in hand at the time of submission
• Experience in an emergency department or acute-care hospital setting preferred
• Ability to work day shifts, provide weekend coverage as needed, and float when required
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, respiratory care, and teamwork skills
• Successful completion of standard credentialing, background, occupational health, and drug-screening requirements

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care to patients presenting with emergent and acute respiratory conditions
• Assess respiratory status and implement appropriate therapeutic interventions under established protocols
• Support airway management, oxygen therapy, ventilation needs, and other respiratory procedures
• Assist with respiratory therapy and neurodiagnostic services as assigned
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other multidisciplinary care team members
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and communicate changes in condition
• Accurately document respiratory assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes
• Maintain a safe, organized, and patient-focused emergency department environment
