Ultrasound Technologist Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,490-$2,670
- Assignment Type: 13-week travel assignment
- Location: Santa Rosa, California
- Start Date: November 2, 2026
- Schedule: 4 shifts per week
- Shift Duration: 10-hour night shifts
- Shift Time: 9:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
- Weekend Requirements: Weekend rotation required
- Call: May be required based on census
- Orientation: 16 hours
Ultrasound Technologist Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in an acute care hospital setting
- ARDMS Registered Medical Sonographer credential
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association
- Ability to work scheduled night shifts, weekend rotations, and call assignments as needed
- Strong technical, organizational, communication, and patient-care skills
Ultrasound Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of ultrasound procedures and produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Prepare patients for examinations and provide clear, compassionate support throughout the diagnostic imaging process
- Transport patients to and from the ultrasound department as needed
- Process imaging records and accurately document services performed
- Adjust and operate ultrasound equipment to support optimal image quality
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions promptly
- Maintain efficient workflow for scheduled appointments and unscheduled examinations
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to promote safe, timely, and quality patient care
