OB Scrub Technologist Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as an OB Scrub Technologist, Surgical Technologist, or comparable perioperative professional
- Experience supporting GYN, abdominal, and obstetric surgical procedures
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and operating room procedures
- Current surgical technology credentials and any required California credentials for practice, as applicable
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and every other weekend
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Travel Surgical Technologist Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, surgical trays, instruments, and supplies for GYN, abdominal, and OB procedures
- Provide sterile scrub support during surgical cases while anticipating the needs of the surgeon and clinical team
- Maintain sterile technique and follow established infection prevention and operating room safety protocols
- Assist with instrument counts, specimen handling, room turnover, and post-procedure cleanup
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, anesthesia professionals, and other members of the perioperative team
- Help ensure surgical supplies and equipment are available, organized, and ready for each procedure
