Travel RN Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130-$2,250
- Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical Nursing
- Unit: Adult Med/Surg and Med-Surg Orthopedics
- Healthcare Setting: On-site critical access hospital
- Location: Viroqua, Wisconsin
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- End Date: January 18, 2027
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- Weekend Requirement: Work 2 out of every 3 weekends
- Call: No call required
Medical-Surgical RN Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Wisconsin
- At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Experience caring for adult medical-surgical and orthopedic patients preferred
- Ability to work scheduled weekends and 12-hour day shifts
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills
Travel Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and orthopedic patients
- Assess patient conditions, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate outcomes
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor vital signs, recognize changes in patient status, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Promote a safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care environment
