Travel Ultrasound Technologist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,520-$1,640
• Position Type: 13-week travel assignment
• Location: Loxahatchee, Florida, in Palm Beach County near West Palm Beach
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• Assignment End Date: January 18, 2027
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Tuesday 7:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m.; Saturday and Sunday 11:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m.
• Call Requirement: Approximately 4 call shifts per month, including at least 1 weekend per month on a rotating primary or backup basis
• Department: Hospital-based ultrasound and radiology imaging
• Equipment: GE Logiq 9 and GE Logiq 10
• Documentation System: Meditech Expanse
• Dress Code: Black scrubs

Ultrasound Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional ultrasound technologist or diagnostic medical sonographer experience
• Current ARDMS registration required
• ARDMS OB/GYN or ABD credential required
• ARDMS or ARRT RVT credential required for vascular imaging
• Current BLS certification
• Recent experience performing general, vascular, and OB/GYN ultrasound studies
• Ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and support a busy hospital imaging department
• Previous travel healthcare or travel technologist experience preferred

Travel Ultrasound Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with hospital and department standards
• Complete abdominal, OB/GYN, transvaginal, vascular, pediatric, small-parts, and NICU ultrasound studies
• Perform vascular examinations of the upper and lower extremities
• Prepare patients, explain procedures, obtain pertinent clinical history, and promote patient comfort and safety
• Accurately document examinations and findings in Meditech Expanse
• Operate GE Logiq ultrasound equipment and maintain a high standard of diagnostic image quality
• Participate in scheduled call coverage and rotating weekend responsibilities
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to support timely diagnostic care
