Travel RN Job Details
- Location: Cleveland, Ohio
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250-$2,370
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 23, 2026
- Schedule: 36 hours per week; 3 shifts per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
- Shift Times: Days, 7:00 a.m.-7:30 p.m.; nights, 7:00 p.m.-7:30 a.m.
- Shift Pattern: Rotating day and night shifts based on operational needs
- Healthcare Setting: Med/Surg Telemetry unit with potential floating to comparable patient populations and the Emergency Department
- Weekend and Holiday Coverage: Travelers are expected to work at least every other holiday
Med/Surg Tele RN Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent permanent Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse experience
- Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or an active compact-state license in hand
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Current ACLS certification
- Current NIHSS certification
- Demonstrated competency in ECG rhythm recognition, telemetry monitoring, and safe medication administration
- Ability to successfully complete required orientation assessments
- Professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director within the specialty and from the past 12 months
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, prioritization, and teamwork skills
Travel Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize clinical changes, and promptly escalate concerns
- Perform patient assessments, administer medications, complete treatments, and evaluate patient responses
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with providers and the interdisciplinary team
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support safe transitions of care
- Float to other units serving similar patient populations, including the Emergency Department, when operationally necessary
- Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care standards throughout the assignment
