Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250-$2,370
• Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical Telemetry

• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Shift Options: Days, approximately 7:00 a.m.-7:30 p.m.; nights, approximately 7:00 p.m.-7:30 a.m.
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 23, 2026
• Assignment End Date: January 22, 2027
• Work Setting: On-site acute-care hospital environment
• Scheduling Note: The schedule may rotate or vary to support operational needs. Holiday coverage is required at least every other holiday.

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or an active compact-state license in hand at the time of submission
• At least 1 year of recent permanent experience in medical-surgical telemetry nursing
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Strong ECG rhythm-recognition skills and the ability to successfully complete required rhythm-recognition and medication-safety assessments during orientation
• One recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty
• Ability to provide required compliance documentation and complete onboarding requirements within designated time frames
• Flexibility to float to comparable units, including other medical-surgical telemetry areas and emergency care assignments, based on patient population and operational needs
• Current COVID-19 and influenza vaccination status, or an approved medical or religious exemption

Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult medical-surgical telemetry patients
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, monitor patient trends, identify changes in condition, and promptly escalate concerns
• Interpret and document cardiac rhythms while maintaining continuous telemetry surveillance
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with provider orders and nursing standards
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, pharmacists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and support a safe patient environment
• Float to units caring for a similar patient population when needed
