Infusion Nurse Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,830-$1,930

• Healthcare Setting: On-site outpatient infusion therapy
• Schedule: 5 shifts per week, 8-hour day shifts
• Shift: 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks, ending January 18, 2027

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois, in hand before the start date
• At least 1 year of registered nursing experience; candidates with less than 2 years of experience may be considered
• Previous infusion therapy, outpatient infusion, or IV therapy experience preferred
• Excellent IV placement and vascular access skills
• Ability to safely administer blood products and hydration therapies
• Strong patient assessment, communication, and clinical documentation skills
• Ability to work the full weekday schedule and complete required orientation and training

Infusion Nurse Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain peripheral IV access using excellent infusion techniques
• Assess patients before, during, and after infusion therapy
• Draw and process laboratory specimens according to clinical protocols
• Administer blood products and hydration therapies safely and accurately
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Provide patient education regarding treatments, follow-up care, and when to report symptoms
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, efficient patient care
• Provide infusion services without administering chemotherapy
