Emergency Room Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- At least 1 year of recent emergency department or emergency room nursing experience
- Trauma Level I experience documented in your professional work history
- Ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts and the required weekly schedule
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care
ER RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients presenting with urgent, emergent, and traumatic conditions
- Perform patient assessments, monitor changing conditions, and promptly escalate concerns
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established orders and protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Support patient stabilization, prioritization, and timely treatment throughout the emergency department
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and ongoing care plans
- Promote a safe, respectful, and patient-centered care environment during overnight operations
