Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant nursing experience (cardiac/stepdown experience preferred)
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred
- Current Illinois RN license in good standing
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care for CVICU and cardiac stepdown patients, including post-op CABG, vascular, and ICU-status patients
- Monitor and assess cardiovascular status, report changes, and intervene per unit protocols
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Uphold hospital and unit-based competencies and standards of care
- Conduct hourly rounding on patients to ensure safety and satisfaction
- Collaborate proactively with internal and external customers as part of a multidisciplinary team
