Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Travel Nursing Contract in Gadsden, Alabama
Join our healthcare team as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse on a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Gadsden, Alabama. Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680-$1,770
- Location: Gadsden, Alabama
- Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department
- Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m.
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks, ending January 18, 2027
- Openings: 1
Emergency Room Registered Nurse Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in Alabama
- At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department or Emergency Room nursing experience; 1-2 years preferred
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Cerner experience preferred
- Strong critical-thinking, clinical judgment, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to meet applicable travel nursing assignment eligibility requirements
Emergency Department RN Responsibilities
- Assess, triage, and provide skilled nursing care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department
- Use the nursing process in accordance with the Alabama Nurse Practice Act and applicable clinical policies
- Anticipate patient needs and plan safe, effective care in a fast-paced emergency care environment
- Demonstrate sound clinical judgment, critical thinking, and timely decision-making
- Coordinate patient care and communicate effectively with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Prioritize and delegate patient care based on staff education, experience, and competency
- Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care
- Maintain clinical competency through continuing education and ongoing professional development
