Job Details
- Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
- Location: San Leandro, California
- Schedule: 12-hour day shifts
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,030 – $3,190
- Start Date: December 15, 2026
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where care is provided
- Minimum of 1 year of recent full-time equivalent nursing experience within the last 3 years
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Experience in a Level III NICU setting required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field preferred
- Seven years of recent Level III NICU experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill and premature newborns in the NICU
- Monitor patient status, assess changes, and respond quickly to evolving clinical needs
- Administer treatments and medications according to established neonatal care plans and protocols
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support optimal outcomes
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate effectively with the healthcare team and families
- Support safe, compassionate, family-centered care in a high-acuity neonatal intensive care environment
