Speech Language Pathologist Job Requirements
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license or appropriate state licensure
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in inpatient rehabilitation or acute rehab
- Experience with adult rehab, neuro rehab, or stroke populations preferred
- Graduate of an accredited university and therapy program
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat adult inpatients in a rehabilitation setting
- Support patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on patient needs and goals
- Help improve speech, language, swallowing, cognition, and functional independence
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the rehab team
- Document patient progress and update treatment plans as clinically appropriate
