Job Requirements

• Active New York State Nursing Assistant Certification
• BLS certification
• High school diploma or GED required
• At least 1 year of experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or CNA capacity
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
• Strong communication skills and a caring, dependable approach to resident care

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and incontinence care
• Support turning, repositioning, skin care, and comfort measures in accordance with the plan of care
• Respond promptly to call lights, alarms, and resident needs
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents and staff
• Provide support with meals, hydration, feeding, and nutrition-related needs
• Assist with mobility, transfers, ambulation, range of motion, and proper body alignment
• Report resident concerns, refusals, and changes in condition to the nurse in a timely manner
• Document care accurately and follow facility policies and procedures at all times
