Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele or medical-surgical telemetry nursing
- Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact license in hand at time of submission
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Ability to work rotating day/night shifts and every other holiday
- Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition testing and safeMedicate during orientation
- One qualifying reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty
- Willingness to complete required pre-start and annual onboarding modules
- Comfortable floating to similar patient care units as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions safely and accurately
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support patient care plans
- Perform ongoing assessments, documentation, and patient education
- Support unit needs by floating to similar patient populations when required
- Maintain professionalism, flexibility, and strong communication in a fast-paced hospital environment
