- Position: Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele)
- Employment Type: Travel Contract
- Location: Madison, Wisconsin 53792
- Start Date: 10/12/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Day/Night rotating 12-hour shifts
- Shift Duration: 12 hours
- Estimated Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130-$2,250
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend rotation
- Floating: Required as needed
- Setting: Adult medical-surgical telemetry unit
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience in the specialty within the last 3 years
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Current BLS certification from AHA
- Epic charting experience required
- Previous telemetry nursing experience and strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
- Ability to pass a telemetry exam prior to start
- Experience starting and maintaining IVs required
- Strong clinical background in med/surg and telemetry nursing
- Comfort working with adult and geriatric patient populations
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced inpatient environment and float when needed
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult med/surg telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and manage treatments safely and accurately
- Start and maintain IV access and support ongoing patient care needs
- Care for patients with a broad range of diagnoses under family medicine services
- Deliver compassionate care to a geriatric patient population
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams to promote positive patient outcomes
- Float as needed to support unit and facility needs
- Uphold a professional, team-focused approach in a dynamic travel nursing assignment
