Travel Operating Room Surgical Technologist Job in Aurora, Colorado
Travel Surgical Technologist opportunity in Aurora, CO: join a fast-paced Operating Room team at a Level I trauma center with weekly pay, day shifts, and strong clinical support. This 13-week OR tech assignment is ideal for experienced surgical technologists ready to contribute to high-acuity surgical care in the Denver metro area.
Job Details
- Location: Aurora, CO 80045 — a vibrant Front Range location with easy access to Denver, mountain recreation, and a dynamic Colorado healthcare community.
- Employment Type: Travel Surgical Technologist
- Setting: Operating Room / Level I Trauma Center
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 10/12/2026
- Shift: Day shift, 3×12-hour schedule
- Shift Duration: 12 hours
- Shifts Per Week: 3
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,420 – $1,530
- Call: Required, up to 3 call shifts in an 8-week period
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, based on unit needs
- Float: Required within scope to similar units as needed
- Orientation: Included at the start of assignment
- Scrubs: Provided
Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience as a Surgical Technologist or OR Tech
- Level I or Level II trauma experience required
- Current BLS certification
- Current DORA credential required
- Travel experience required
- Experience supporting a wide range of surgical cases in a high-volume Operating Room
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment
- Must be flexible with varied start times and unit-driven scheduling needs
- Must be able to complete facility-specific modules within the first week
Responsibilities
- Prepare the Operating Room for a broad range of surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons, registered nurses, and surgical teams during complex, high-acuity cases
- Maintain sterile technique and support safe, efficient intraoperative workflow
- Set up instruments, supplies, and equipment for each case
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team throughout procedures
- Support trauma, general surgery, neuro, orthopedic, ENT, plastics, GU/GYN, and other specialty cases as assigned
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure excellent patient care and smooth room turnover
- Float within scope to like units when facility needs require
- Participate in call coverage and weekend rotations as scheduled
