Travel ICU Registered Nurse – Adult Critical Care Contract in Towson, Maryland
Bring your critical care expertise to a fast-paced travel ICU nursing job in Towson, Maryland, just outside Baltimore. This ICU RN contract offers the opportunity to care for high-acuity adult patients while working with a collaborative interdisciplinary team in a well-supported, multi-specialty critical care environment.
Job Details
- Setting: Adult ICU, multi-specialty critical care
- Location: Towson, MD – Baltimore metro area
- Schedule: 3×12-hour night shifts, 19:00-07:30
- Hours per Week: 36
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,850-$1,950
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: May float within specialty and to lower-acuity units as needed
- Start Date: October 5, 2026
- Unit Environment: 28-bed ICU with a daily census of 10-14 patients
Job Requirements
- Active Maryland RN license or compact Registered Nurse license required at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required
- Travel nursing experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- CPI certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Experience with Epic preferred
- Strong comfort caring for adult and geriatric critical care patients
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic unit and float within scope as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients with complex medical and surgical needs
- Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in condition for patients requiring advanced critical care
- Titrate cardiac, vasoactive, sedation, and pressor infusions as ordered
- Care for patients on ventilators, CRRT, and other advanced ICU equipment
- Support patients with sepsis, ARDS, cardiac events, neurological conditions, post-op recovery, and respiratory failure
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and other support services
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate patient status effectively to the care team
- Promote safe, compassionate, high-quality care in a busy critical care environment
