Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) Job in Dover Foxcroft, Maine 04426
Travel to Dover Foxcroft, Maine, and bring your Labor & Delivery RN experience to a welcoming critical access hospital. This 13-week travel nursing assignment is ideal for a compassionate Registered Nurse who enjoys patient-centered care, OB-GYN support, and working in a close-knit birthing unit.

- Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse Assignment
- Location: Dover Foxcroft, ME 04426
- Start Date: 10/19/2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,470 – $2,600
- Unit: OB-GYN / Labor & Delivery
- Charting System: Cerner
- Additional Notes: Free parking available; may float to a low-acuity med-surg unit during low census
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification required
- NRP certification required
- STABLE certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN) preferred
- Ability to work night shifts in a smaller-volume birthing unit
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care for labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and newborn nursery patients
- Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Support patients and families throughout the birthing process with compassion and professionalism
- Assist with triage, admissions, and clinical documentation in Cerner
- Collaborate with leadership, anesthesia services, and the broader healthcare team to ensure safe patient care
- Float to a low-acuity med-surg unit when census is low, as needed
- Maintain a safe, organized, and supportive environment in a community hospital setting
