- Employment Type: Travel Surgical Tech
- Setting: Hospital – Cardiovascular Operating Room
- Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 2, 2026
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,060 – $2,210
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 10-hour days
- Orientation: 80 hours
- Charting System: Epic
- Additional Notes: Locals accepted; first-time travelers welcome
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of total CST experience preferred
- At least 1 year of CVOR experience required
- At least 1 year of Level I Trauma experience required
- 2+ years of experience in cardiac and vascular procedures
- Scrub experience required
- BLS certification required
- Experience with cardiovascular and thoracic instrument reprocessing
- Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and operating room workflow
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Flu vaccine required; medical exemptions only
Responsibilities
- Assist with a wide range of cardiovascular operating room procedures as a CVOR Surgical Technologist
- Prepare, organize, and maintain surgical instruments, sterile supplies, and OR equipment
- Support complex cases such as CABG, EVAR, TEVAR, valve replacement, and other vascular or thoracic procedures
- Maintain strict aseptic technique and promote safe surgical practices throughout each case
- Handle scrub duties, case setup, and equipment documentation with accuracy and attention to detail
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and perioperative team members to ensure smooth OR workflow
- Support accurate specimen handling, instrument processing, and room readiness
- Adapt to schedule needs, including weekend rotation and call responsibilities as assigned
