- Charting System: Epic required
- Schedule Notes: Variable weekend coverage based on unit needs
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in the MICU specialty
- Current MICU experience must be recent and consistent within the last 12 months
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience with Epic charting required
- Strong critical care experience with vents and IV starts
- Ability to work with adult and geriatric patient populations
- Two professional references required, including at least one manager, director, or supervisor-level reference
- Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill adults and older adults with complex medical and oncologic conditions
- Monitor and manage ventilated patients, hemodynamic instability, and multisystem organ dysfunction
- Administer and titrate IV medications, including vasoactive and cardiac drips
- Support advanced critical care procedures such as CRRT, arterial line management, central line care, and chest tube management
- Interpret dysrhythmias, arterial blood gases, and other critical data to guide patient care
- Maintain accurate computerized documentation in Epic electronic health records (EHR)
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, high-quality care
- Follow infection prevention, isolation, and patient safety protocols at all times
