- Location: Lakeport, California | Northern California healthcare job
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night shift, 12 hours
- Schedule: 3x12s with weekend rotation required
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,280-$2,400
- Charting System: Epic
- Unit Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
Job Requirements
- Active California Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
- Experience with Epic charting preferred
- Previous travel nurse experience preferred
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently in a high-acuity setting
- Experience managing ventilated patients, titrating drips, and supporting complex critical care needs
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, patient-centered care to critically ill patients using the nursing process
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in the ICU
- Monitor hemodynamic status and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
- Manage arterial lines, central lines, IVs, and other intensive care therapies
- Administer and titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips as ordered
- Care for ventilated patients and support respiratory interventions
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, and other interdisciplinary healthcare team members
- Direct ancillary staff and help maintain a safe, efficient, and organized care environment
