- Shift Duration: 10-hour days
- Shift Pattern: Variable day shifts, including start times at 7:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 1:00 PM
- Shifts Per Week: 4
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
- Orientation: 40 hours
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,670 – $2,810
Job Requirements
- Active California RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC
- CNOR certification preferred
- Experience as both scrub and circulator required
- Strong charting system experience required
- Cardiac experience required
- Experience with hepatobiliary, robotic, spine, ophthalmology, and general surgical cases preferred
- Ability to work rotating weekends and provide OT support as needed
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect nursing care to surgical patients throughout the perioperative process
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans
- Safely circulate and scrub for a variety of surgical procedures
- Support complex cases across cardiac, hepatobiliary, ophthalmology, general surgery, gynecology, ortho spine, neurosurgery, ENT, oral, pediatric, and robotic specialties
- Maintain a sterile, efficient, and patient-centered operating room environment
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia, and the broader surgical team
- Educate patients and families as appropriate before and after procedures
- Document care accurately and uphold high standards of safety and quality
