- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Schedule: 36 hours per week; may consider straight 48s or 36/48 alternating
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,750 – $1,840
- Healthcare Setting: Med/Surg/Tele surgical unit
- Orientation: 16 hours
Job Requirements
- Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Ability to float to other Med/Surg/Tele units as assigned
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Flu vaccine required, with medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed
- Willingness to submit required documents by the stated deadline
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Monitor telemetry data and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical standards and provider orders
- Document nursing care accurately and efficiently in the EMR
- Support unit workflow and assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Adapt to changing patient assignments and float needs within similar units
