Job Details
- Position: Travel Registered Nurse, Telemetry
- Location: Wichita, KS 67214
- Setting: Intermediate Care / Telemetry Unit
- Start Date: October 6, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 – $1,890
- Unit Highlights: 37-bed intermediate care unit with telemetry-focused patient care
- Equipment/Technology: PCA pumps, IV pumps, chest tubes, and Meditech EMR
Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of hospital telemetry nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently
- Experience with cardiac monitoring and intermediate care patient populations preferred
- Prior Meditech experience preferred
- NIH certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to telemetry and intermediate care patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, manage drips, and support central line care
- Care for patients recovering from heart catheterization procedures and bubble studies
- Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and fellow nurses to promote safe patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care with a positive and engaged attitude
