Job Details
- Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Long-Term Care Travel Assignment
- Setting: Long-term care
- Employment Type: Travel healthcare job
- Schedule: Full-time day and/or night shifts as needed
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts
- Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and holidays required
- Contract Length: Approximately 18 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $950 – $1,020
- Orientation: Must be available for first-day orientation on a Tuesday or Thursday
- Location: Penn Yan, NY 14527
Job Requirements
- Active New York State Nursing Assistant Certification
- BLS certification from AHA or RQI
- At least 1 year of long-term care or CNA experience
- Must have been licensed for at least 1 year
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to support adult and geriatric residents with professionalism and compassion
- Comfort working in a healthcare setting with potential exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissues
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect resident care under the direction of licensed nursing personnel
- Assist with activities of daily living, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, incontinence care, turning, positioning, and skin care
- Maintain resident safety by responding to call lights promptly, supporting fall prevention, and helping ensure a clean, comfortable environment
- Assist with meals, tray setup, feeding, hydration, and honoring resident preferences when possible
- Support restorative care needs such as range of motion, ambulation, transfers, proper body alignment, and use of assistive devices
- Document care accurately and report resident concerns, changes in condition, and refusals in a timely manner
- Work collaboratively with the nursing team to promote quality care and a positive resident experience
