Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist opportunity in Charlottesville, Virginia, supporting a pediatric respiratory care team in a specialized children’s hospital. Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience required
• Level IV NICU experience required
• Current RRT credential required
• BLS and NRP required
• Virginia respiratory therapy license required, or pending license acceptable if obtained by the specified deadline
• Experience supporting NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics
• Strong skills in airway management, ventilator support, and neonatal/pediatric respiratory care
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Comfort working with Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A
• PALS and ACCS preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy across all children’s hospital units as needed
• Support patients in NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute pediatric care
• Assist with intubation, ventilator management, and advanced airway support
• Perform and interpret respiratory treatments including HFNC, CPAP/BiPAP, and aerosol therapies
• Manage suctioning, tracheostomy care, pulmonary hygiene, and ABG interpretation
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other clinical team members
• Contribute to safe, high-quality care for critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients
