• Schedule: Self-scheduling model; every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Additional Notes: Must be available to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience required
• Level IV NICU experience required
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
• Current BLS and NRP required
• Virginia state license required, or pending license acceptable if eligible for a temporary license before start
• Another active state license required to qualify for temporary licensure
• ACCS preferred
• PALS preferred
• Must be comfortable caring for neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
• Must be competent with advanced respiratory support and critical care equipment

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care across NICU, PICU, acute care pediatrics, and high-risk delivery areas
• Support neonatal transports and interdisciplinary pediatric respiratory services
• Perform and assist with intubation, extubation, airway management, and emergency respiratory interventions
• Manage advanced ventilator support, including HFOV and Bunnell Jet Ventilator use
• Deliver therapy for complex respiratory conditions in critical care and specialty units
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other care team members to promote safe, effective patient outcomes
• Provide compassionate, family-centered care in a high-acuity pediatric environment
