Job Details

• Specialty: Emergency Department / Emergency Room (ED/ER)
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse

• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,860 – $1,960
• Schedule: Every other weekend required; schedule may vary based on department needs
• Setting: High-acuity, high-volume Emergency Department
• Location: Asheville, NC 28801

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in an Emergency Department or ER setting
• Experience in a Level II trauma center and/or comprehensive stroke center preferred
• Current ACLS certification prior to start
• Current BLS certification prior to start
• Current PALS certification prior to start
• Current TNCC certification prior to start
• Current CPI certification prior to start
• Current NIHSS certification prior to start
• ENPC within 90 days of hire
• Strong teamwork, flexibility, and real-time coaching/feedback skills
• Willingness to work throughout all areas of the Emergency Department

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate care to Emergency Department patients
• Manage care for a wide range of patient acuity levels in a busy ED environment
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, clerks, and the care team to support patient flow
• Provide clear communication and patient updates throughout the visit
• Maintain a respectful, patient-centered approach aligned with AIDET standards
• Adapt to changing department needs and float within all sections of the ED as needed
• Support a positive, team-oriented environment while delivering excellent clinical care
