Job Details
- Setting: Adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
- Location: Berkeley, California
- Start Date: 10/12/2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend and as needed based on unit needs
- On Call: As needed
- Floating: May float within scope of practice to other units or campuses based on census and need
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,280-$2,400
Job Requirements
- Active California RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- At least 3 years of ICU Registered Nurse experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Experience caring for neuro patients strongly preferred
- Proficiency with Epic charting system required
- Ability to work in a high-acuity critical care environment
- Flexibility to float based on unit and facility needs
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to ICU patients with complex medical needs
- Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition in a timely manner
- Care for neuro and other critically ill adult patients with confidence and precision
- Administer medications, manage drips, and support ventilated patients as needed
- Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to support optimal patient outcomes
- Document accurately and consistently in Epic
- Adapt to changing patient assignments, census, and floating expectations
- Maintain professionalism, strong communication, and a patient-centered approach
