Job Details
- Position: Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
- Start Date: 10/26/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night shift, 12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130-$2,250
- Setting: Med/Surg Telemetry inpatient unit
- Location: Madison, WI 53718
- Scheduling Notes: Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need
- Parking: Onsite parking available
Job Requirements
- Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
- Epic experience required
- AHA BLS certification required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Ability to pass a telemetry exam prior to start
- Willingness to float as needed
- Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
- Strong communication, adaptability, and patient-centered care skills
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric Med/Surg Tele patients
- Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, and support care planning
- Manage IV therapy, central line care, ports, and other routine inpatient nursing tasks
- Support patients with respiratory care, wound care, blood product administration, and post-operative recovery
- Interpret dysrhythmias and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, timely interventions
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and uphold unit standards
- Float to similar inpatient areas as assigned to support patient care needs
