Job Details
- Position: Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)
- Location: Brooklyn, Maryland 21225
- Schedule: 3×12-hour night shifts (18:50 – 07:20)
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,110 – $2,220
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
- Call: 2 shifts per 6-week schedule
- Setting: 10-bed Labor & Delivery unit serving a variety of maternal and newborn care needs
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Current C-EFM NCC certification required at time of submission
- BLS, NRP, and STABLE required; ACLS preferred
- At least 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- Minimum of 1 completed travel assignment required
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Cerner experience preferred
- Experience supporting mother/baby care and scrub backup preferred
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced obstetric environment and float when qualified
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and antepartum patients
- Assist with high-risk deliveries, vaginal births, and cesarean sections
- Monitor fetal status and interpret EFM patterns to support safe patient outcomes
- Support maternal assessments, pain management, medication administration, and IV therapy
- Perform newborn assessments and assist with immediate newborn care
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, family-centered care
- Serve as scrub backup as needed and float to mother/baby when qualified
- Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner and follow unit protocols
