We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to support a 23-bed Med/Surg Ortho/Trauma unit. The ideal candidate is confident caring for post-op patients, comfortable in a collaborative hospital environment, and ready to deliver high-quality bedside nursing care on night shift. Job Details

- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 36 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680-$1,770
- Unit Type: Med/Surg Ortho/Trauma
- Charting System: Meditech
- Patient Ratios: 1:4 to 1:5
- Support Staff: Unit secretary and patient care technicians available
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification required
- Orthopedic nursing experience strongly preferred
- Telemetry experience preferred
- NIH certification or experience is helpful
- Comfort working in a busy trauma, post-op, and acute care environment
- Ability to float to other medical-surgical level-of-care units as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg patients
- Care for post-op knee, hip, and shoulder replacement patients
- Support trauma patients and some neuro overflow cases
- Monitor and manage patients using equipment such as traction, fixators, and cooling devices
- Complete bedside shift reports and hourly rounding to promote a strong patient experience
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support efficient patient flow and excellent outcomes
- Float to other Med/Surg units when needed based on unit needs
