• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Schedule: Every other weekend
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Duration: 17 weeks
• Start Date: 9/6/2026
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800-$1,890
• Charting System: MEDITECH
• Orientation: 16 hours

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing or comparable acute care experience required
• At least 1 year of nursing experience with 1 completed travel assignment
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience in a high-acuity, fast-paced hospital setting strongly preferred
• Must be comfortable managing a 1:6 patient ratio on days and nights
• Ability to work every other weekend and maintain reliable attendance
• Professional, patient-focused approach with strong attention to safety and quality

Responsibilities

• Provide direct bedside care for Med/Surg patients with a variety of acute and complex conditions
• Monitor and manage patients with diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, GI bleed, renal failure, dialysis-related needs, DVTs, ETOH, and psych-related concerns
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, including therapies such as Lasix, Bumex, and Heparin
• Deliver wound care, post-surgical support, and care for patients recovering from amputations and debridements
• Support safe, coordinated care across acute care and cardio overflow patients
• Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to maintain high-quality patient outcomes
• Document accurately in MEDITECH and maintain strong communication with the care team
• Promote a safe, efficient, and compassionate care environment for every patient assignment
