Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Inpatient Rehabilitation Job in Madison, Wisconsin
Travel LPN job in Madison, WI: bring your clinical skills to a high-acuity inpatient rehabilitation setting and help adult patients regain independence. Job Details
- Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation
- Location: Madison, Wisconsin
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,350-$1,420
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Schedule: Every other weekend with holiday rotations
- Electronic Health Record: EPIC
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:7
- Patient Population: Adults requiring inpatient rehabilitation services with high-acuity needs
Job Requirements
- Active LPN/LVN license
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or other 24/7 skilled care environment
- Inpatient rehabilitation or Med Surg experience strongly preferred
- Minimum 13 weeks of EPIC experience required
- BLS certification required
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-acuity rehab nursing environment
- Ability to support teamwork, patient safety, and responsive bedside care
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adults recovering from stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other rehabilitation needs
- Monitor patients closely and respond to changes in condition in a high-acuity inpatient rehabilitation setting
- Assist with mobility support, patient safety, and use of mobility equipment such as ceiling lifts and Sara Stedy/Sara Plus
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support individualized rehabilitation goals and progress toward discharge home
- Document patient care accurately in EPIC and maintain timely charting
- Support CNAs and help answer call lights to promote a safe, efficient patient care environment
- Work scheduled nights, including every other weekend and holiday rotations
- Use strong communication and clinical judgment to contribute to excellent patient outcomes
