- Weekend Requirement: Four weekend shifts in a four-week scheduling period
- On-Call: Not required
- Setting: 27-bed Emergency Department
Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- 2-3 years of Emergency Department or Emergency Room nursing experience required
- Completion of 2-3 travel nursing assignments required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required
- Strong experience in high-acuity, fast-paced ER environments preferred
- Comfort working with patient ratios of approximately 4-6:1
- Team-oriented, respectful, and adaptable approach to patient care
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to Emergency Department patients with a wide range of acuity levels
- Support rapid assessment, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring of patients
- Assist with emergency nursing interventions including RSI, sepsis care, stroke protocols, and tPA administration
- Support central line care and management as needed
- Provide compassionate care for psychiatric patients in the emergency setting
- Coordinate transfers to other facilities in accordance with EMTALA guidelines
- Work collaboratively with physicians, medics, and fellow RNs to maintain efficient patient flow
- Deliver safe, high-quality patient care while adapting to changing priorities in a busy ER
