Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Telemetry Night Shift Job in Cleveland, OH 44106
Travel nurse opportunity in Cleveland, Ohio: join a busy Medical/Surgical Telemetry team and provide high-quality patient care on a 30-bed acute care unit. - Schedule Notes: Every other weekend and every other holiday required; intermittent charge nurse responsibilities may be needed, with training and shadowing provided
Registered Nurse Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
- Comfort working night shift nursing in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Ability to care for post-op transplant, bariatric surgery, telemetry, and general med/surg patients
- Willingness to support step-down level patients when assigned
- Strong communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and patient assessment skills
Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to Medical/Surgical Telemetry patients
- Monitor patient status, interpret changes in condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Care for pre-op and post-op solid organ transplant patients, bariatric surgery patients, and other med/surg cases
- Support step-down level care when needed based on unit assignment
- Administer medications, complete assessments, and maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
- Assist with charge nurse responsibilities as needed after training and shadowing
