We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Morristown, New Jersey. Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse (RN) experience required
- Recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience strongly preferred
- Active RN license in the practicing state
- Current BLS certification required
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts
- Strong assessment, communication, and patient care skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care and maternal health environment
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and immediate postpartum periods
- Monitor maternal and fetal status and promptly communicate changes to the care team
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and obstetric emergencies as needed
- Educate patients and families on the labor and delivery process, recovery, and newborn care
- Collaborate closely with obstetricians, anesthesiology, neonatal teams, and fellow nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and responses to care
